Carl John Taitano Cruz, my beloved brother, passed away on February 24, 2025. We are all devastated by his sudden loss and in loving memory humbly seek support to honor his only dying wish.
Carl was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer in July 2024. A month later, on our late mother’s birthday, we were given the news by his doctors that due to the aggressiveness of his cancer, it wouldn’t be long before his final days which would soon come within the next 6 months. The day after Thanksgiving, Carl was admitted to the hospital where it was discovered that his cancer had spread to his other lung and metastasized to his brain causing him to begin having seizures. Carl fought through and made it home on Valentine’s Day, surrounded by his family’s love. However, it wasn’t long after that he faced another seizure episode eventually taking his life in his sleep.
At age 57, Carl was called by our Heavenly Father and now joins our late parents, Carlos Quitugua Cruz (Familian Carabao) & Jesusa (Castro) Taitano Cruz (Familian Chicha/Koho “Bino”). He is survived by his only son, Kyle Joseph Quenga (Washington), myself, Patricia Taitano Cruz and my children whom he had raised since they were born (Cara+Trung & children: Carlos & Taylor, Leah+Kyle, Matthew, Kevin, and Davannah+Jimmy), including numerous family and friends.
On behalf of Carl’s family, they humbly ask for your support to help cover the cost for his Funeral & Memorial Service and honor his only dying wish – ‘to be buried together with our mom.’
Deepest gratitude for your prayers and donations in any amount! Si Yu’os ma’ase and may God bless!
