Betty Kalland was a very loved person by many, she loved animals of all kinds. She was the kind of person where she would always help other first rather than herself. Her most cherished people were her children, and grandchildren. 7 years ago she was diagnosed of Philadelphia chromosome- positive chronic myeloid leukemia) with no signs or symptoms. This is a cancer of the blood and bone marrow which is tissue in the body that creates and destroys blood cells. She started on a chemo tablet for a couple years, then started having chemo treatments. She would get pill after pill, and many blood transfusions, eventually they stopped working. Ever since then her cancer has progressed, and ended her life. This loss took a toll on many, we are simply reaching out for help with her cremation due to no life insurance. There will unfortunately be no services held.
