A Final Tribute for Kevin Northrop

Main fundraiser photo
My name is Angie Northrop. In December 2024, my dad, Kevin Northrop, was diagnosed with stage 4 Glioblastoma (stage 4 brain cancer). He began treatment with the expectation that he could live longer. However, after 3 weeks of radiation treatment, there was no improvement, and the tumor continued to grow. On March 19th, 2025, my dad lost the battle with the cancer that ravaged his brain at a rapid pace, leaving no time to plan appropriately for his death.

My dad was enlisted in the Air Force and received an honorable discharge due to an auto accident he had while he was enlisted. I’ve never been one to ask for help but feel my dad deserves a proper honoring that I am unable to fulfill on my own. My dad did not have life insurance but did receive a small amount in Veterans benefits to assist with some of the cost, along with a small amount of assistance from the county. However, there are still nursing home costs related to his need for a private room, along with the remainder of the cremation costs. My goal is to bring my dad home and take him to his final resting place at Fort Snelling.

This man adopted me at a young age and has always been there for me through thick and thin. Most of my life, he lived far away, so when he told me in 2021 that he was moving to Minnesota to be closer to me, I was elated! Please, if you can help me bring my dad home, I would be forever grateful. I want to honor him the way he honored me.
