Dear friends of Erica Krzyminski ,
As you now may be aware, Erica passed away in Fort Pierce, Florida @ Lawnwood Hospital on the 26th of May 2025.
Erica touched so many lives positively, she was generous, kind, funny and insightful. We have all been sharing many stories since her passing that reminds me that although she had many struggles in her life she was also stubborn and determined! I am sure she held all those attributes to the end.
It has been a very sad time for us all.
As her next of kin, we have been informed that we need to finalise Erica’s affairs and most importantly her cremation.
As we did not find out of Erica’s passing till a week later, it has been difficult to try and sort out what needs to be done – from Australia to Florida, and try to piece together what actually happened when she was admitted to the hospital on the 21st of May 2025.
There are many unanswered questions. But it is time to put these questions aside – for now – and concentrate on what needs to be done.
Good friends of Erica living in the USA have been so kind and helpful. I have seen the wonderful tributes to Erica from Adelaide, Hawaii and Long Island NY.
What we are doing in starting this fundraiser is to gather funds for Erica’s cremation, in USD dollars – and hopefully have her ashes returned to Australia.
We also see this as a chance for those who knew and loved her to contribute instead of flowers or other memorial tributes,all welcome but to also honour Erica in this request. Of course, we as a family are also contributing to this – whilst trying to locate Erica’s personal belongings and important paperwork/documents that will allow us to finalise her affairs.
As we all know there are many steps that need to happen after the death of a loved one – I believe this gives us all a chance to show love and say goodbye to Erica.
