Hello everyone, it is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Alfonso Curiel Iriqui, a true cowboy, man of quiet wisdom, carved from grit who left us very unexpectedly after a silent battle with kidney disease at the age of 68. 6/7/2025
He was a husband, a father to one daughter and two sons, a proud grandfather and great-grandfather. His connection to nature, animals, and the land was unmatched. There wasn’t a tree he couldn’t name, he could read the earth like a book and lived by its rhythms. Though illness slowed him down, it never dimmed his spirit. His family stood by him with love despite how difficult things got. Sticking by him, driving him to appointments, cooking for him, or simply encouraging him to stay active. Every gesture was an act of love and respect for a man who had spent a lifetime giving so much of himself.
His absence leaves a quiet space in the hearts of those who knew him, a silence that echoes the deep wisdom he carried — the kind that didn’t need many words to speak volumes.
He leaves behind a legacy of strength, courage, and deep-rooted wisdom. We’ll miss his jokes, stories, weather-worn hats, his knowing nods, and quiet strength.
We are reaching out to friends, family, & the community with this fundraiser for help with final expenses to honor his memory. Contributions are never expected, but truly deeply appreciated. Prayers are always accepted too.
Thank you for your love and support. ❤️
-Until we meet again Tata
