My grandfather

Hi, my name is Esther. I’m an active-duty soldier, and I recently lost my grandfather in Togo, West Africa. I wasn’t raised by him, but he’s still my family, and in my culture, showing up matters. I want to attend his funeral to support my family and find closure, but I can’t afford the international travel costs on my own.

I’ve looked into assistance, but programs like AER can’t help in this case. I’m asking for $6,000 to cover my flight and travel expenses. Anything you can give or even just sharing means the world.
