Honoring Timothy: A Proper Goodbye

Main fundraiser photo
On March 29, 2020, I lost my dad. Timothy A Stewart, to COVID-19. It happened so fast and in the middle of the world shutting down, we didn’t get the chance to say goodbye the way we should have. There was no service, no gathering, no headstone. Just silence.

If you know me you know I’ve never asked anyone for anything, until now. Now, over five years later, I’m asking for help to finally give him the rest, love, and remembrance he deserves. I’m raising funds to cover the cost of his burial and a proper headstone, something simple but meaningful, something permanent that says: he was here, he mattered, he is still loved.

I’m sharing older photos of him not because we don’t have newer ones, but because this is how I want to remember him. Smiling. Strong. Full of life. My dad was the kind of man who showed up for others. He was funny, stubborn in the way only a dad can be, and someone I could always count on, even when life got hard. Losing him like that without warning, without closure left a hole in my life that I still feel every day.

If you knew my dad, or even if you didn’t, I’d be grateful for anything you can give. A donation, a share, or even just a kind word it all helps more than you know. We’ve waited a long time for this. It’s time to lay him to rest the right way.

Thank you for reading. Thank you for remembering my dad with me.
