Remembering Raymond: A True Fighter

In Loving Memory of Raymond Bagley Jr. – A True Fighter and Beloved Father

Hi, my name is Raymond Bagley III, and I’m heartbroken to share that my father, Raymond Bagley Jr., recently lost his courageous battle with AML leukemia after a long and painful fight, including a bone marrow transplant that I was honored to give him. Even after everything he went through, the cancer came back stronger—and yet, so did his spirit.

My dad was the strongest man I’ve ever known. Born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA, he later served in the U.S. Air Force, which brought him out to Washington State, where he built his life and worked for over 40 years at the U.S. Post Office. Rain, shine, or snow—he showed up every day. That was who he was: dependable, humble, and generous to the core.

He was known by everyone for his giant heart, his kindness, and his amazing sense of humor—even during the hardest days of cancer treatment, he was still cracking jokes, still telling people he was “doing fine.” That’s just the kind of man he was.

One of the most special things about my dad was his tradition of handing out silver dollars—it was his personal calling card. If you ever received one, you know how special he made you feel. That’s who he was to everyone—he made people feel seen and valued.

This fundraiser is being set up to help cover:

Funeral and memorial costs

Travel and logistics for family

Remaining medical and caregiving expenses

Helping honor his legacy in a meaningful way

Anything you can give—whether a donation or even just sharing this campaign—means the world to our family. My dad gave so much to others during his life. I want to make sure he’s remembered the way he deserves to be.

Thank you for reading, for your love, and for helping me honor my hero.

Rest in peace, Dad. I’ll love you forever.

We’re heartbroken to share that our dear friend Alex passed away far too soon. His light, his laughter, his incredible spirit — they touched so many, and his absence is deeply felt.

Hi everyone — Angela here, writing on behalf of Matthew (for now). On December 6th, completely out of the blue, Matthew suffered a severe stroke.
