Unfortunately, our mother has lost her fight to cancer. A little over 3 years ago, she was diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. She was one hell of a fighter! She fought every day, 24/7, to stay as healthy as she possibly could. But cancer won. The whole time, she did whatever she could for her kids, grandkids, and many other people that she took in as family. She set up her own funeral just to make it easier on us when the time came, which we are forever thankful for, as setting up a funeral for your mom is not the easiest thing to do. Our mom did everything and anything in her power to make this as easy as possible on us boys when the time came. I can’t imagine the strength it took to set that all up herself, knowing the day would come at some point.
Her boys, Michael, Aaron, Shawn, and Jordan, are asking for some help as we can’t afford the funeral by ourselves.
We’d be thankful and very appreciative if we could get some help. Our mom was loved by so many people; it’s humbling the effect she had on so many others, and how she was the rock, the shoulder we leaned our head on, the person we went to for advice, the person that stuck by our side no matter what, and with the very little she had, she always made sure we had what we needed no matter what it took. She was our best friend. She was simply amazing. The absolute best mom anyone could ask for and a mother role for many others. Life is gonna be hard without her. Her goofiness, her crazy sense of humor, always made us laugh even in the darkest moments.
